Nick and his wife were fine hosts. They let me know when my pet was feeling unwell which luckily was just a quick phase, however I didn’t get any pictures even when I requested one which is unfortunate. Overall she came back as my normal pet which I guess is about as much as anyone can ask for!

If your dog has separation anxiety, this might not be the best option for you. Before I booked, I spoke to Nick about my dog’s anxiety (she’s an active breed) and how she scratches at doors if she’s shut in somewhere alone. I was reassured he worked from home and that someone would always be there to look after her. Twice during our dog’s 3 night stay, Nick said he was called into the office but that someone would be there to watch her. On the way home from our short trip to pick her up, I was told she had scratched at some doors. I went to look at the damage, and it looked like she had been shut in the bathroom. She has never scratched the inside of a door if she has access to getting out. I think if your pup doesn’t get anxiety, Nick might be a good fit. I was just disappointed by this experience and not getting accurate information up front.
