Away from my own dog for the summer
Pet care experience
Hello islanders! I'm from Vancouver but working and living in Charlottetown until October. My own doggo is back home with my partner. He's a 3 year 85lb maremma/poodle/wheaten terrier mix. Which means I'm very used to a large and energetic dog. We've done extensive training with him in obedience, agility and working with anxiety as that is a struggle of his. Would love to make some new furry friends while I'm in town.
Reviews
Nick is a wonderful help with our pup, Remington. He's always got lots of positive energy and affection for our little guy, and is very reliable. He's taken Remy on hikes around the lower mainland and walks around the neighbourhood, and Remy always comes home tired and happy.
Nick is definitely a huge animal lover, and animals love him too! I’ve seen him interact with and watch over many dogs in the time I’ve known him, and he is always energetic, caring, and affectionate. I would absolutely recommend his services as a dog sitter.
Nick has a caring, enthusiastic and energetic nature which dogs immediately tune into!! He is a compassionate and responsible petsitter and is also very good at noting and following through on any special requests that families might have for their dog(s). He’s also an excellent (and enthusiastic) dog-walker!
Nick is a wonderful person and is super comfortable with animals. He has walked my dog many times and I've always trusted him to take great care of Roscoe.

Safety, trust & environment
I will not be taking any pets for boarding as I'm currently renting a unit here in PEI. I understand the risks of bolting from some animals, especially when their normal parents are away. Also understand what can and cannot be left on the counter/within dog's reach etc.
Information Nick P. would like to know about your pet
Any concerns about reactivity, bolting, allergies are evidently important. Specific commands and hand signals are appreciated beyond the basics. Whether the dog is food or play-motivated is useful. And really just what will help them have a great time!
A typical day
Would love to make some dog friends who like to walk, run, fetch, maybe even go for a swim! Or if they're old and prefer cuddles on the couch that's alright too.
Services
Nick can watch in your home
Availability
In rehearsals Tuesday-Sunday until June 3rd. (which means in busy 9-5) but free in the evenings. After June 3rd I'll be mostly available every day as we'll just have a show performance in the evening or for a matinee.
