I was scheduled for a major surgery. A Total Knee Replacement Surgery. I contacted Rover because I only heard good things about the company. I initially contacted four other walkers but they were on vacation, could only walk my dog in the summer months because she was a teacher, one lady's son was ill.etc. Therefore, I contacted Nick. He seemed to he a nice and professional young man told me he was a student and would be happy to meet my dog. So, we scheduled a Meet and Greet. Nick was at my apartment 15 minutes early I liked that it was a good start. He met my dog I took him on the route I wanted him to use things good wonderful. Therefore, Nick was hired. His start date was scheduled for Friday morning at 11:30 am. I had my surgery Wednesday. On Thursday the day after my surgery I received a phone call from Nick. I'm still in the hospital on pain medication, hurting and out of my mind on pain pills. Nick calls me to tell me he's out of town at come computer conference and won't be able to walk my dog until 4:00pm Friday. I initially scheduled my dogs walks for 11:30 everyday and Nick agreed on the time. I couldn't believe this. He made a comment with me to walk my dog. He took the job I thought it was a done deal. I received confirmation. Being on pain medication and not thinking clearly I said ok fine 4:00 pm is ok. Now, Friday's here it's getting close to time to walk the dog I heard nothing from Nick. So, I called him, then I texted him and he finally called me back around 3:50 pm and said I'm in Indianapolis, IN now it's almost 4:00 I live in Merrillville, IN which is a 2 1/2 hours drive to my house. He said I can get there by 6:30pm he said it might be longer because of traffic. Then he said can you change his time to be walked. I said no. A dog is a creature of habit. I immediately told Nick not to come. He apologized and said it won't happen again. On the next day Saturday Nick was here on time walked the dog it was ok. On Sunday no Nick, no phone call, no text nothing. I called him twice, I texted him twice. On Monday I called Rover customer service to fire this young man. I found out that he had cancelled the walk. He's got a lot of nerve. THIS young man was unprofessional, unreliable, you couldn't depend on him. Stool in my face and told me I could count in him. One big lie. Now, I have to get someone else in to walk my dog. Buyer beware. He's cheap, I could have known better you get want you pay for. Don't waste your time with Nick.
