Pet care experience
I have been caring for animals professionlly for over 10 years, over the last few years I have been focusing on dog training and behavior. I worked at a great Dog training facility in portland for many years, which drove me to persue CPDT-KA dog training certification. I focus fulltime on dog training, pet sitting, and dog walking as I persue my certification. I have a lot of experience with puppies, seniors dogs and multi dog households. Any dogs in my care will be trained on a regular daily basis with a structured routine with all postive methods. Each dog I care for will have at least two walks a day, and access to hiking, and other adventures if their owners approve and the dog seems they would ebjoy the activity. I treat each dog as an inividual and adapt my training and care style to suit their needs. I have had the pleasure of working with Nick for nearly a year taking care of dogs in a boarding/daycare facility. He is a knowledgable and conscientious animal caretaker. He loves all dogs, from the weird little ones to the giant fluffy ones. I would happily have him take care of my own dogs and cats when I'm away.
I met Nick at the dog park about 6 months ago and ever since then he has helped me in so many ways to care for my dogs Chomps and Dingo . He has house sat for me on multiple occasions and every time I have returned home the house has been exactly how I left it and there is always I list of training he did while I was away, a log for how much my dogs were eating while I was gone, and an email of how the stay went. Anytime I had questions about training he did or about my dogs he would get back to me very quickly and would always answer my phone calls. I will use Nick whenever I go out of town.
I have worked alongside Nick caring for and training animals for quite some time now. He always has showed tremendous compassion for every animal and always spends quality time with each pet. In addition to the excellent care he provides, his experience with behavior and training brings a higher quality experience than your average sitter. As a successful Rover sitter myself, I would highly recommend Nick to watch your fur babies and hope to use him as a reference when needed!
I've known Nick for about 15 years, since the day I met him he has been an avid animal lover. He has grown up with dogs in the family, and his passion for dogs and other animals has only grown with age. He works with dogs almost daily, teaches obedience the right way, and he recently got a puppy. I can honestly say I've never seen such a happy little pup. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog. I will be getting a puppy of my own within the next three months, and would never hesitate to let Nick care for it.

A typical day
Dogs will have many options when they are in my care, from home enrichment games and toys, to hiking adventures and structured real life training. Dogs will have the option to just lay around and snooze or let there energy out if that is there hearts desire. After talking with parents about personality quirks and likes. I will focus on making all animals under my care have the best time they can.
