I have had dogs and cats since I was a small child. Getting a puppy in third grade is the best birthday memory I have :) All through college and into my adult life, I've never lived without at least one dog (and usually a cat or two). Fast forward to today... Until recently, I was the proud father of two shelter dogs. Jack came to me as a 4 year old and was a true companion until the ripe old age 18. Colonel joined us a few years later, also 4 at the time, and unfortunately cancer took him to be with Jack just a couple months ago. I know what it's like to pour your heart into your pets and will handle your pets with the same care. I have also lived with multiple cats over the years. I love cats as much as dogs, and am well-versed in the differences between the two. I understand cats' intricacies and understand the patience involved. Also, they're pretty fun (see my longtime girlfriends' cats in my pics). Moving forward, I would love to extend my love for furry friends into a living. I spent my adult life in the service industry, mostly bartending and serving, and recently I decided I needed a change to something I love. After spending all those years in a stressful, fast-paced environment, catering to the needs of multiple guests at once, this feels like a natural transition. Although I must say, I'd rather tend to hungry pets' needs than hungry people :)
