With over 17 years professional care taking experience, I am the pet sitter for you! I have worked in the pet care industry since 2007 and received training in animal handling, health, and wellness. Additionally, I have experience in vet care including administering medications (including insulin, subcutaneous fluids, or time sensitive doses) and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I possess a strong knowledge of canine and feline behavior and have done training and behavior modification in both cats and dogs. We can keep up with training while you are away, or work on something new if you are looking to expand your pet's knowledge. I've worked with canines and felines of all life stages, as well as small mammals, reptiles, and birds. Sadly, allergies prevent me from living with a canine companion full-time, so I do my best to make friends with each I meet. In my spare time, I foster kittens and puppies, mostly taking on the neonatal "bottle babies" that require feeding throughout the night. In a typical year, I may foster 20-30 animals, and I work with several rescues to focus on their most critical (and youngest!) population. I own several cats, acquired through my years working in rescue, whom I love very much. During my sit I work to keep your pet comfortable and active through regular exercise and play, and lots of snuggling. If you have a shy pet, I am happy to take the time to get to know them at their own pace. My goal is comfort and safety for both the pet and parent.
