While I was growing up I was always around animals. Cats, dogs, horses, goats, and some chickens were always around. As a child I help raised four litters of kittens, two of puppies, and a few goats. Due to this upbringing, I'm very comfortable with animals, from big to small and everything in between. Puppies or old family dogs, I love and know to get along with all of them. The characteristics that have followed me throughout life are patient, and kind. Due to this, I've never had an issue working with any dog, including those that have been known to be mean or antsy. I try to give them as much space and time as they need to warm up to me, but after that, I'll give them all the love and attention they ask for. My personal habits are quiet and clean, so dogs don't find me intimidating or too intrusive, nor have the owners of the homes I've worked in before. Working with dogs is one of those occupation that feels like an absolute dream because it's what I'd enjoy doing with my free time. My other interests are mostly artistic, as I'm very involved with literature, but even it can't provide the warmth and good cheer which flourishes when one has a good relationship with a dog.
