Pet care experience
I am currently enrolled in a pet sitting certification program hosted by the leading pet sitting certifier, National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). This qualifies me to work not only with dogs, but other farm animals, reptiles, and critters. I am also enrolled in a pet first aid certification program hosted by ProTrainings. Furthermore, I am insured by and am a member of Pet Sitters Associates, the leading insurance agency for pet sitters. I also received my Bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Colorado. I have experience caring for all types of dogs - pitties/staffies, GSD (German Shepherds), English bulldogs, small terrier breeds, corgis, and everything in between. I also have experience administering medications, both orally and via injection. I can also assist in reinforcing any training programs you are currently implementing.
Reviews
My dogs love nick and nick loves my dogs. That’s all I need for peace of mind when I’m gone
Nick is a fine person who cares greatly about pets and taking good care of them, as he did with my dog. This was their first encounter without me. My dog was confused and a bit anxious at first but I allowed Nick to take his time and give each of them their space. I hope they both grow to enjoy each other and hope Nick will be open to returning to care for Lucky again soon.
Nick was the best dog sitter ever, absolutely hands down! He cared for my Cayenne so well He let me know what was going on every step of the way and he watched Cayenne for 6 days I never once was worried Nick is extremely trust worthy and excellent with dogs I will be using Nick again and again.. he is my go to guy for my fur baby… I highly recommend Nick to watch your dogs Sue
Nick is awesome. He takes top care of my dogs and he’s very communicative throughout my trips. I’ve used him a few times and will continue to do so.

In my role as a pet sitter, the well-being and happiness of your beloved pets are my top priorities. When caring for pets in your home or your client's home, I adhere to a comprehensive and personalized care approach. I ensure that the pets feel secure and at ease in their own surroundings. This includes maintaining a consistent feeding schedule and providing fresh water, as well as adhering to any specific dietary requirements or medication regimens your pets may have. Additionally, I understand the importance of mental and physical stimulation for pets. I engage in interactive play, stimulating activities, and regular walks to keep them active and content. Safety is paramount, and I am vigilant about securing the home environment, ensuring that potential hazards are minimized. I prioritize the safety of dogs during walks by utilizing secure leashes and harnesses, carefully assessing the surrounding environment for potential hazards, and maintaining constant vigilance to ensure a safe experience for pets. A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks, whether in lively social settings or peaceful environments. I am dedicated to providing both mental and physical stimulation, maintaining an extensive collection of toys and puzzles. Interactive puzzle feeders challenge cognitive abilities, while chew and rope toys contribute to dental health and satisfy boredom. Engaging in games like hide-and-seek with treats or toys adds a layer of mental enrichment.
