I absolutely love dogs! I had one my entire childhood and was the main caregiver for our family dogs. Starting college and moving away from my pup was hard, but I was able to get a job as a dog walker in Manhattan and it was amazing. I've walked tiny chihuahuas and huge Italian mastiffs. I've played fetch with dogs in their senior years and puppies who are just learning to explore. I walked stoically beside an equally stoic akita and acted super silly with a super silly and sweet bulldog. And I did not just walk dogs. I took care of them. I gave them medication if they needed it; the bulldog needed vaseline rubbed on his nose every day and the senior dog I walked would only let me give him his pills. I fed them, played with them inside if it was raining, and sometimes even washed them. I loved it so much and now that I have graduated I have time to start working with dogs again! I will be available the entire day if you ever need me to swing by, and I am absolutely happy being contacted any time, even if there is no walk or sitting scheduled. Flexibility is one of my strong points. In fact I even helped some of my clients move and watched their akita and mastiff while the movers were there. In addition, I am extremely neat and clean (a little OCD some might say), so you can be sure your home will be even cleaner then you left it. I also have my own air mattress and sleeping bag so I wouldn't even need to use your nice furniture to sleep on! And if you prefer that I sit your pup at my home, you can be sure they will be treated like royalty. I have one wonderful cat who loves to play for short bursts and then take catnaps on the couch. Your dog is more than welcome to join my kitty Benny on the couch, and I would love if they jumped in my bed at night. I live in a one decent sized one bedroom apartment so there is plenty of room for your pup to stretch out and relax. And if you are worried about Benny, he spends a lot of time under my bed, so if its needed there can be minimal to contact with my little guy. I live close to several parks and am just a short bus ride from Prospect Park so you can be sure your little guy will get plenty of exercise! So whether you need a sitter to keep your furbaby company while you are away, you would like me to come grab your pup and bring him to my loving home, or drop in for a walk and some play time I am your man!
