I have had numerous dogs since my teens ranging in weights and breeds. I often work from home, though not 100% of the time. Therefore, your dog will need to be able to be home without me present for up to 4 hours. I do have a cage appropriate for the typical lab-size dog should yours require being in one while no human is home (please let me know). In my current place, I cannot watch dogs with a tendency to chew furniture, shoes, or clothes/socks. I can watch dogs with dietary restrictions (such as specific food and treats) including raw diets (any food must be provided). I can administer pill medications using treat delivery (like hiding the pill in meat or something). I am not skilled with diabetic dogs or any dog requiring injections. All pooches get filtered water in my place. As for activities, on week days we'll go for runs or long walks daily (if your dog is capable). On weekends, you'll be able to find us often at hiking locations to take in nature. Frisbee is king for fetch in my dog's house, but we certainly can work a ball in if that's the way your dog rolls! I do let dogs sleep with me in bed and hang with me on the couch, but can reinforce rules that they do not if that is how you want your dog to be trained. I live in a loft of about 1500 sq. ft. -- there is a small yard next to the building but outside time is mostly around Georgia Tech, Piedmont Park, or some other outdoor area with more space.
