Aspiring Vet providing great care!
Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals since I was a baby and have had dogs since I was 8 years old. I started pet sitting for friend’s pets when I was 15. Most recently, I have cared for stray dogs and cats around my neighborhood and through a non-profit organization that works in Baja California. Through my volunteer work, I have gained experience in professional pet care, administering medications/shots, puppy/kitten care, and senior animal care. I also have had extensive experience with animals with difficult behaviors. I had a dog with fear-based aggression that I worked with a professional trainer here in San Diego for 4 years with. Therefore, if a very regimented routine is required for your pet, I fully respect that and can provide that for your pet while you’re away. I’m also experienced in crate training and working with high-energy dogs. I love running and hiking so if your pet requires lots of extra attention like that or lots of playtime, I am more than capable of providing that as well. With two dogs of my own and several dogs/cats within our extended family, I understand the care and commitment it takes for your pet to be a happy little camper while you’re away, which as I know from experience can allow you to have some peace-of-mind on vacation!
Reviews
10/10 recommend!! My rescue pup Jackie is pretty difficult to deal with and Nick is so understanding of that.
Nicholas was great with Whiskey. We would hire him again!
Nick was great with our kittens and did everything we asked. Will definitely use him again!
Literally one of the best rovers I’ve ever had. He sent numerous pictures throughout the day, sent multiple updates, took care of the house and made sure to help my old pup be as comfortable as possible while I was gone. I will 100% be booking him again and as soon as I know I have plans. Thank you so much!

I currently can only provide care at your home at this time. With my dogs, I’m very conscious on diet and exercise and can follow a feed/exercise schedule if given.
Information Nicholas C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know ahead of time if your pet has any special needs that I would need to attend to. Please also leave a point of contact for your pet’s vet clinic, and an emergency contact in case anything happens.
A typical day
One of my favorite things to do with the dogs I care for is doing exercise with them. It helps with bonding with the animal. I enjoy taking pups to Mission Trails, various parks throughout SD county and finding somewhere open that we could race each other! Of course this would all depend on what the dog is used to. For drop-in visits, we’d mostly be playing with their favorite toys, whether that be playing fetch with their favorite ball/s, tug-of-war, or practicing sitting and laying down with some soft training treats! Overall I love doing activities that’ll stimulate your doggo’s mind and keep them engaged. Unless they prefer to chill out and cuddle, which I’m game for as well!
