I have had dogs growing up almost my entire life. As soon as I got my own house I got my own dog. Every dog I come in to contact with loves me. Every dog tries to be a lap dog with me. I guess I just have that thing; animal lover through and through. Animals tend to be excellent judges of character and I've never met a dog that didn't like me. I feel all you need to get a dog on your side is genuine compassion, and no animal should get anything less than that. No matter what kind of a dog you have, I bet I could totally be friends with it. And walk it and play with it and stuff of course.
