Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs large and small since I was a kid. Always the puppy/house caretaker on speed dial for my neighborhood back in Pleasanton. I have volunteered at 4 different animal shelters, taking care of dogs, cats, deer and local wildlife. I love all animals! One of my top favorite hobbies is just taking my dog, Lily, for a walk and enjoy the sights and sniffs, and some off-leash time when appropriate. I love walking my dog, but have strolled with up to 3 large dogs at one time (including a Newfie-mix!) Adept at handling sassy puppy attitudes, diffusing tense situations and sudden squirrel sightings. Old dogs, young pups, I’ve lived with and cared for them all. Added bonus, my mom has extensive knowledge as a vet tech and is always an excellent resource for immediate advice.

Nichol was fantastic and a lovely house sitter. We loved all the pictures and videos from her interacting with our pup, she took him on long lovely walks, even stripped the bed before leaving on the final day. We know our doggo was very happy with her and we’d love to book with her again.

I am clean, organized, responsible and flexible. With extensive experience caring for animals and homes you can trust I will treat your pets and your space with the utmost respect. Your pup and I can take a stroll through the neighborhood or travel up into the hills, even as far as Tahoe! (Ask me about Whale Beach). I carry, poop bags, treats, and a waterbottle+bowl. I also walk with ResQwalk on to track miles for donations! During hotter summer months I will only walk early morning or late evenings, depending on the temperature, or drive up to the cooler mountain area or water resource for adventure time.

Please let me know if your dog has any special medical needs, or environmental triggers that I should be aware of. Any typical behaviors that I should be aware of, or what the favorite distractions are (such as treats, ball, squeaky toy, etc). Any particular joys such as fetch, or rolling in tall grass?
A typical day
I love to take the pups on a walk around their neighborhood. I also have a great park right by house and know of many in the area. If a longer adventure is allowed we can go to Lake Folsom, or all the way out to Tahoe to my favorite dog friendly beaches.
