Pet care experience
The most important thing to us is that your dog is safe and has a great time when they're with us! My wife and I love dogs and grew up with them (labs and pekingese in my family - chesapeke and labs in my wife's family) our entire lives, and our families still have them back in Minnesota. I trained our family dogs growing up, so I'm familiar with common training practices. We got married a few years ago and moved to Chicago, so we don't get to see our family dogs as often and currently don't have a dog due to busy weekday schedules, but we would love to take care of yours during the weekends! We own a dog-friendly two-bedroom condo near lakeshore and spend lots of time outdoors. We love camping, running, bicycling, Netflix (Friends, specifically), and eating! We would be honored to take your dog with us to play some fetch and go for walks in the nearby parks and make your pup feel at home at our place.

Nic was great with our dog Charlie. He was very flexible with drop off times and even dropped Charlie off for us, which made things easier. He communicated very well. We love all breeds and sizes of dogs, so we welcome pups of any type. A couple things that would be helpful to know is if your dog is potty trained, has a tendency to chew, or is bothered by elevators. We can take the stairs, but we live on the 11th floor :-)
A typical day
Gill Park is right behind our condo, and we're a very short walk to the parks along Lakeshore path, so we will spend lots of time walking around the area and playing in the park. For dogs that are more used to a relaxing weekend, we also have lots of room to enjoy a nice quiet day and play in our condo. We both love lap dogs, so if your dog like to cuddle, even better!
