I am not able to provide a positive review of Niah's services. Unfortunately we made a mistake choosing Niah. Our 1st experience using Rover gave us the false pretense that all Dog Sitters with Rover would be like Ana, our 1st Rover sitter. We heard horror stories from people who have used Rover; several from neighbors in our own development. I started to get worried when days into our trip we had not heard from Niah or received updates. Our past experience with Rover provided 2 or 3 updates daily. Niah in our pre-meet indicated she would be updating us frequently. I reached out asking for an update. I received a few. But then silence again. When I did get pictures, they all seemed to be at night. Found that odd. Then I get a text from Niah on the 7th day asking if it is normal for our dogs to pee in the house. In the 5 years, our dogs have never peed in the house. I did indicate that if left alone too long it was a possibility and the most likely of dogs would be Sakari. She snapped back that she was taking them out every 4 to 5 hours as I had indicated. That is when I knew she was not there. We hired Niah to live in our home for the 9 days and to only leave for a few hours, but our dogs were used to having someone in the home. They are not left alone frequently and never more than between 4 to 5 hours (and not often or every day). I told her if she could not commit to that, we would find someone else. She indicated she was very comfortable with that. We also asked her if she wanted us to hire a poop pickup service or was she comfortable doing that. She indicated she would do it. We went over how you have to do it daily with 3 Huskie dogs. Our yard is not huge and I told her at most you could do it every 2 days. She indicated she understood. When we arrived home I immediately knew something was wrong. Our 2 girls greeted us extremely subdued. They immediately ran into their crates and would not come out. It took us a good 12-15 hours to get them to comfortably stay out of their crates. My husband went into the backyard and no poop had been picked up at all, the entire time, eventhough Niah had sent a text that morning indicating she was leaving, had picked up the poop (not true), had vacuumed up the hair (not true), had picked up the mail (true) and watered the plants (partly true). We have pictures of all. I started reaching out to our 2 neighbors to see if they could provide any insight. Both reported that they rarely saw activity or lights on and periodically saw a car parked in front of our house but never for long. I then reached out to our HOA to see if I could get a report on the gate entry code that needs to be used to enter our community. I am filled with rage in seeing in the receipts what I suspected. Niah left our dogs alone and the service and care I thought I had set up was not provided. I am grateful for the fact that my dogs are here, physically unharmed. But the anxiety and emotional harm they felt will take some time to undo. I am pissed I paid for something and did not get what I paid for. 5 days after returning we now have a Ring doorbell and installed camera's in my house. I will never allow someone to do this to me or my dogs again. I do not recommend Niah. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.

Was amazing! Charlie was sad leaving her! She did an excellent job looking after him! Will definitely use her again to watch my dog!
