Pet care experience
I love animals and am very comfortable with them. I have had pets throughout my life including dogs ranging from 10-150lbs, cats, fish, and even horses. I have cared for kittens, puppies, as well as older dogs with infirmities (e.g. diabetes, blindness, deafness). My goal is to help pet owners and give their pets love, attention, and exercise when they need it.

Nia does a fantastic job! She clearly loves dogs and cats and has a lot of experience pet sitting and dog walking. Nia is reliable and trustworthy, and l feel confident leaving our pets in her care.
Nia has been around dogs her entire life, and ranging in personalities, dispositions, and sizes, from 10-20 lb Cairn Terrier and Dachshund’s, through a Husky, Labs, Great Pyrenees and a 155lb Pyrenees/Malamute mix. So saying, she is not intimidated by dogs, has only experienced using discipline with voice and attitude but never physically aggressive, and has a deep love and respect for all animals. As her Dad, I can certainly wholeheartedly endorse her capabilities around dogs, and would never endorse her if I did not think she wouldn’t physically and emotionally be up for the task.

Due to the lack of yard space in the city I am very accustomed to walks and bathroom breaks for pups, cats as well if they are leash trained. I am comfortable with crates, or letting pets sleep on the furniture (only if it’s okay with the owner).

It’s important to know your pets habits and if they stick to any specific routine. As well as rules for the house, their favorite snacks/treats, and their favorite things to do!
A typical day
I love to play with your pets with their favorite toys, on long walks, at parks, or wherever they feel most comfortable. I like to stick to familiar areas for pets unless they are very adventurous and want to explore new parks.

I recently graduated with my Masters from San Francisco Conservatory of Music and work at a music studio on Polk St. I am mostly free mornings and evenings!
