I’m very upset and I will never use rover again. This was my first time using this app. I booked 48 hours in advance and I entered my address when creating my profile. I even reached out to coordinate and asked if there was anything else I needed to do since I wasn’t familiar with how everything works. I was told that everything was good and I didn’t need to do anything else. About an hour before the scheduled time, I got a message asking if it was the correct address. About 20 minutes before I got a message saying she couldn’t walk them because it was too far. I didn’t respond to the first message because I was at a funeral, my mom died. When the service was over, I checked my phone and the first thing I seen was a message about her cancelling due to the distance. She ended up going after a little back and forth and was late getting there. She did spend a little more time with them which I appreciate, but it doesn’t change the fact about what happened. It was already stressful enough dealing with the funeral and all the arrangements for that, the last thing I wanted to deal with was worrying about my dogs being left in their kennels longer than usual when I set things up in advance. If she couldn’t or didn’t want to do it for whatever reason, I would’ve had enough time to find someone else.
