Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Nessa Holmes. I've spent the past four years working in the dog care industry. I started at PetSmart PetsHotel after I graduated Highschool and got experience handling dogs in group play and boarding environments. After going to College for two years, I switched to Wagly Pet Campus and Veterinary Hospital as a Play Coach and furthered grew my knowledge of different dog personalities and how to read their body language. We offered walks around the neighborhood so handling a dog on a leash is something I'm very familiar with. After two years there, I was prompted to leave due to understaffing and management issues but wanted to continue spending time with the animals I've grown to love so strongly. Through the years I have also provided housesitting and pet sitting services with my sisters to multiple couples and families who need it. I feel confident around nearly all breed (though being a bit small myself, size can sometimes be a challenge) and am capable of feeding and medicating dogs if necessary. My schedule is flexible and I will try to accommodate you and your furred family member as best as I can. It is my goal to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet.

We love Nessa! She is one of the very few people my roommates and I trust with our two puppies. I always feel safe leaving them in her caring hands, allowing me to fully relax and not worry about my dog while traveling. She has extensive experience with all kinds and temperaments of animals and will treat your beloved pet as if he/she was her own. Responsible? Check! Kind? Check! Discerning? Check! Affordable? Check! Easygoing? Check I would highly recommend Nessa as a pet sitter and walker to anyone who is looking for family-like care for their animals! Bonus point: she sent updates.

Hello! I worked with Nessa at Wagly. She was the one who trained me in handling dogs in our daycare. She was so amazing and is super knowledgeable about anything that has to do with dogs! She is a super friendly person and the best person I have had the pleasure of working with! Tori A. P.

I was a coworker with Nessa awhile ago and was always impressed by the amount of patience and careful attention that she gave the dogs that were boarding. She definitely puts their needs above all else and makes sure they're comfortable and loved. If a dog was nervous, she would take the time to sit in their room with them so they were able to calm down and get used to her. Her small stature never held her back from working with larger breeds like Great Danes and German Shepherd and she did very well at keeping them in line with firm but gentle corrections if they started testing boundaries. All in all, Nessa is a compassionate worker and her love and experience with animals makes her a reliable and responsible caregiver for any pet.

Information Nessa H. would like to know about your pet

The essential things to know is how well your dog gets along with strangers and other dogs. My own dog is semi-dog aggressive so I'm able to handle that alright, but it is something that I have to be informed of. I am open to any breed. I do personally prefer medium to large dogs, but small dogs are perfectly alright too.

A typical day

If requested, I will gladly take your dog on walks if they are able to "play well with others." Everything depends on the area that you're located in but I will definitely make an effort to keep your dog active and entertained. If they aren't in the mood for playing, then cuddling is always an option.
