I’ve had dogs my whole life, and just had to put my 18 year old cat down. We have a very playful pup, Herbert who gets along well with cats, kids, and other dogs. We love to take him to the dog park, and on long walks. We’d love to have an occasional playmate for him, cat or dog. We are both very experienced with older pets, and I can even give IV fluids. We have a dog door (for smaller dogs) and love our furry friends - they sleep on our bed and get lots of belly rubs and treats. Dogs that do not get along well with other animals would not do well in our home. Preferably small house broken animals, no dogs that nip or don’t socialize well. Our dog is small and very playful, so no dogs over 25 lbs, bigger dogs may be considered based on excellent temperament.
