Home full-time and R+ training!
Pet care experience
I have always loved cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. I am raising my puppy, Archer, using positive reinforcement methods. This means I use a clicker, treats and lots of patience while training him. I have taught him the basics (sit, stay, down, leave it) as well as tricks like spin, high five, take a bow, sit pretty, paws up, acting shy etc. I've also taught him to ring the bell to go potty outside in our fenced yard. You can check us out on Instagram. I truly love training dogs and watching them understand and pick up concepts brings me so much joy! I am currently enrolled in a dog training course at the Karen Pryor dog training academy. My overarching goal is to achieve my KPA certification and become a certified dog trainer. While taking care of your pet, I will be using positive reinforcement methods. This means I will reward your dog often (depending on their digestion and preferences). Of course, I will consult with you prior to giving your pet any kind of treat, to ensure that it is okay for them. While your furry friend is with me, I will be sending you daily pictures and updates. If your dog is used to leash walking, I would love to walk them and go hiking as well. I currently live with my partner, he has grown up around dogs and loves them just as much as I do. We are both at home full-time, so your pet will be closely supervised and in good hands with us. We live in a townhouse in Herndon, with a fenced in yard. My puppy Archer is currently not neutered (I am waiting until he is a year old before getting him fixed). Therefore, for the time being, I can only take neutered and spayed dogs for boarding at my house. Of course, this only applies if your pet is staying at my house with me instead of petsitting at your house. Please contact me for a meet and greet. I am excited to get to know you and your furry friend, and shower them with love and attention while you are away. I work from home and so does my boyfriend, so we are always at home and your pet will never be left alone. We work office jobs from 9-5 but are working remotely from home. On the weekend, we will take your dog trail walking in Reston and the surrounding areas. If your dog has energy to burn, I am happy to play fetch as well. I have a fenced yard. My puppy Archer is very social and would love to play with your dog. If you are not comfortable with that, I will make sure they are separated. Archer is crate-trained. I would like to know about your dog's food and dietary preferences, health information etc. *Covid-19* We are fully vaccinated. Additionally, we have been social distancing since the start of the pandemic. I will wear a mask when meeting you, picking up your dog etc.

Information Neshmia T. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know their dietary preferences and if they have any food allergies. Please also provide me with their specific feeding times, a general routine (if they have one). Lastly, I need the contact information for your vet in case of any emergency.
A typical day
During your dog's time with us, we'll go on daily walks. If your dog is very high-energy, I am happy to play fetch or teach them fetch to burn off their energy. I am a huge believer in tiring dogs out mentally as well as physically. For mental enrichment, we will be doing the following enrichment activities: - snuffle mat (sniffing lowers stress in dogs and allows them to engage in natural behavior) - frozen lick mats (licking reduces stress in dogs) - hiding treats in cardboard and allowing them to find them - Clicker training basics (to continue reinforcing behaviors they know + tire them out mentally) During down-time, I will give a frozen Kong or chicken broth frozen in cubes for entertainment. I can also put on dog television to keep them entertained,
