Hi there! My name is Nerissa and I look forward to getting to know your best friend! I understand how deeply cherished a pup can be. They are family and I welcome them into mine :) Throughout their stay, I will keep you updated with many photos and videos and am available to contact 24/7. I have many years of experience. From owning, sitting, fostering, volunteering, and now working with dogs, I have gained an immense understanding of dog behavior. Growing up, my first experience with a dog was with my neighbors collie, Cindy. Growing up in a rural area without any other kids my own age, Cindy was my best friend. I sat her often and spent many days roaming the neighborhood together. In recent years, we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl, Tika. Through grief and in her honor, we contacted Grateful Friends Animal Rescue and decided to foster. It has been a truly rewarding experience. In 2023, we adopted our not so mini poodle, Alfred, and continue to foster when we can.

We are very thankful for Nerissa. It was our first time using Rover and we were very nervous but she instantly made us feel at ease. She took great care of our puppy and kept us informed all along with pictures and messages. It was very reassuring. She respected our dog’s needs and habits! We know that our Cooper loved his time there, especially the long playtimes with Alfie! She also was very flexible and easy to reach. We would definitely have her keep our dog again and we strongly recommend her services.
Nerissa is fantastic. Friendly, clear communication and obviously great with dogs. I know my dog is in good hands with her. Highly recommend!
Nerissa is simply the best! Prompt, kind, loves our Yorkie and it shows by how excited he is to see her for his walks. When I have to travel for work, having Nerissa to help out with his care, means the world to me so I don't stress that hes on his own too long...

My home is your home. I will follow what’s expected in your home into mine. I have a fenced backyard ready to be zoomied in! Your pup will have as much freedom as you are comfortable with. This is their staycation and we want them to have the best time!
Pets
A typical day
We will have lots of fun! I will cater to your pups needs. Walks, playtime, sunbaths on the deck, backyard exploration, belly rubs.. etc. I will provide all the snuggles they wish for and care for your pup as my own. We have a neighbour down the street who has three dogs and a big fenced yard. Our ‘mini dog park’. If your pup is up for it, we can visit for a little extra doggy play.
