Qualified Dog Groomer & Zoology Graduate Pet Carer

Pet care experience

I am an experienced pet care professional with tons of animal-related skills and knowledge. My goal is to offer your pet a loving and affordable home away from home. I haven't had the best experience with pet sitters, so I am dedicated to creating the perfect environment that works for your pet as I know I’d want my boy to be treated as part of the family while we are away. I am happy to implement any rules from your home to mine. While I’m more laid back & treat my own dog like a baby, I know the importance of sticking to certain rules if needed. Routine is crucial for helping your pets feel comfortable, especially if they’re nervous, so I can stick to their normal schedule to help them settle in quickly & comfortably. I can also send as many pupdates as you want 🐶 A little bit more about me. I currently work from home so will always be around to keep your pet company. I have always had animals and was mostly raised with/around large dogs. My childhood dog was a Labradoodle. He lived to 12.5 and suffered with severe leg and hip arthritis in his later years, so I am comfortable providing specialised care and treatment to older animals or those that suffer from medical conditions. My grandparents in Europe had German Shepherds and Boxers, then my family members here in the UK have had Labradors and a variety of small, poodle mixed breeds. I also had a close friend growing up who lived on a farm, I used to help her with chores around the farm and spent a lot of time with her border collies and retrievers. On a professional note, I always wanted to become a vet growing up so I dedicated most of my life to animal-related work and work experience. I changed my mind after working with & speaking to vets, but wanted to keep my options open so got my degree in Zoology in 2019. Some jobs I have had include: > Worked at Pets at Home for over 4 years > Completed my dog grooming qualification in 2018 > Grooming salon manager for over a year in 2021 > Trained approx. 20 people how to groom dogs > Volunteered at 2 veterinary practices > Volunteered at a dog rescue > Worked in a boarding kennels > Worked closely with wild animals at a private zoo > Helped on several farms, small holdings & a stables Due to working with animals for so many years, I am very confident with all kinds of dogs and know how to handle various breeds, ages, personalities and medical conditions in a work environment. Whether you have a golden oldie or a cheeky puppy, I’ll be able to offer them the best care possible with plenty of love, cuddles, playtime & suitable walks 🥰

Neoma is simply amazing. She is so loving, caring and a true animal lover. She provided regular updates and went over and above to ensure that Koko was comfortable and settled. I am so happy to have found Neoma I can’t thank you enough

Found Neoma very friendly and knowledgeable regarding looking after dogs. My dog seemed to really enjoy himself and definitely seemed well looked after. I would not hesitate to leave him with her again. I may book myself in instead of the dog next time 😂

Neoma is not only a lovely person but cares greatly for all animals, in the many years I have know her she has excelled in all areas of pet care & customer service roles. As her previous manager in a well known pet retail company she was reliable, hard working and at the forefront of everything she did, she always put animal welfare first! Her dedication to the role really highlighted what an incredibly dedicated person she is, the care and time she took looking after pets and customers never went unrecognised. You couldn’t meet a friendlier, more loving person and I just know she will put 100% into anything she puts her mind too!

Safety, trust & environment

Our home will be a warm, comfortable and safe environment for your pet. We allow animals on the furniture but not upstairs. Due to our own dog being crate trained, we prefer to take on dogs that are also crate trained when it comes to boarding so they have a safe space to sleep overnight (crate training isn’t necessary for daycare clients). Dogs will always be fed separately & will be given breaks to rest after meals, walks & playtime. We can offer as many or as little walks depending on the needs of your dog alongside plenty of cuddles, games & supervised doggy playtime 🐾

Information Neoma T. would like to know about your pet

1. Daily routine 2. Exercise needs 3. Grooming requirements 4. Sleeping arrangements 5. Important rules (if any) 6. Any medical needs or behavioural problems I have a pug of my own, so my main requirement is that your pet is good with other dogs in the house. My dog is playful but respectful, he will share his toys and space without any issues. I can put him upstairs temporarily if any conflict arose or if the dogs needed a break from each other. I am happy to take multiple dogs from the same household. Ideally, your dog needs to be house trained. We understand that puppies & senior dogs can have accidents but they need to know how to keep the house tidy most of the time. If your pet is destructive, they’ll need to be crate trained. Any other medical or behavioural issues must be declared before or during the meet & greet. Finally, we do have a house rabbit who recently lost her friend. However, she can be moved out of sight if your dog has a high prey drive. I would be happy to care for your small animals for an additional fee. I can also offer a bath, brush and blow dry for your dog so they can come home smelling and looking fresh!

A typical day

Our typical day consists of cuddles on the sofa while I work & fun walks throughout the day, this will vary depending on the weather, age & breed needs. We live a stones throw away from Hyde Park so there are plenty of smells and sights for dogs to explore on a daily basis. On warmer weekends, me and my partner will jump in the car with our dog and go on hikes around reservoirs, country parks and in the Peaks. With your permission, we'd be more than happy to go on some adventures with your dog and give them the best experiences while they're away from home.

Over the past couple of years, I have switched from working with animals to working from home as a digital content manager as it offers a better work-life balance and gives me the flexibility to spend more time with my dog. It also means I can start offering services like this on the side. My partner is a hybrid worker, so there can always be someone in the house with your pet even when one of us needs to run errands. My pug is crate trained, so the dogs will never be left alone unsupervised. We are an adventurous couple & while we live around the corner from Hyde Park & have plenty of fun daily walks on our doorstep, we love to go on adventures to country parks, the Peak District & anything else we can find. We’d love to bring your pets along with us with your permission!
