I have cared for all kinds of dogs, cats and other animals such as horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, squirrels, all kinds of birds and reptiles for most of my life. While growing up my family had many cats and dogs (corgis, lab mixes, pit mixes) and it was my first chore starting at the age of seven to care for them which I loved doing. Since then I have had neighbors, friends and family who have relied on me to pet sit either in their home or in mine. I have ample experience with senior animals who need extra attention and care including giving medication as well as with young animals who are full of energy and may need more structure. I truly have a passion for and connection with animals and often have people tell me I should be a zoologist. I currently work part-time cleaning an Airbnb and am going to school (mostly from home) so my schedule is rather flexible. I am eager to fill up my extra time with caring for your fur baby! Most of my experience in caring for pets, other than my own, has taken place the owner's home. My attention to detail is impeccable and I will ensure that all schedules and routines are followed so that your pet is comfortable and well taken care of in your absence. As an owner of two cats (whom I love more than most humans) I also understand the importance of communication and updating how your pet is doing throughout the time you are away! If your pet is going to be staying at my home I will ensure the environment is prepared accordingly so they are safe and can enjoy their time. When it comes to training or discipline I 100% believe in positive reinforcement!
