Fully Licensed Dog Boarding in The Yarrow Valley
Pet care experience
I am fully licensed as a Dog Home Boarder by The Scottish Borders Council, insured as a dog boarder and hold a Level 3 certification in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare. I have two German Pointers of my own. One is more senior now and the other is now an adolescent, and he has been with us from 8 weeks old. I have had 10 years experience with dogs and trained with profession dog trainers and have a specialism in sporting dogs, HPRs / Retrievers. I have experience in Gun-Dog training and also introductory and intermediate training for other types of dog breed too.
Reviews
My 9 year old dog Jasmine had a great day with Neil, got on well with his resident dogs and enjoyed the lovely big outdoor space they have.
Neil has looked after both my dogs, Henry and Bertie over the years and has always treated them like one of his own. It’s so reassuring to know that your dogs are being looked after in a loving, home environment and makes it so much easier for us humans to enjoy our time away from them knowing that they are happy and loving life (and the lovely long walks in the countryside). I can’t recommend Neil enough and I know both my boys would say the same.
My dog Harvey has a wonderful time when staying at Neil’s overnight. I know he will enjoy the long walks throughout the day, which he needs being a spaniel and the homely setting of his boarding kennels. It’s comforting and vital to know that he is well looked after when we are away.
Neil is one of those people who is mad about dogs! If he had to choose between saving you or your dog, let’s just say your dog would be living the best life! Neil has spent a considerable time training his own dogs in field craft over the years and is a great dog handler. Patient and kind any dog will love staying with him and any owner and have peace of mind their best friend will be well looked after.
