Pet care experience
I've always loved animals but I've always been allergic to cats, so dogs were the way to go. I grew up with my aunts black lab, Cassie. She was the best. Then when I turned 11, my family got a Portuguese water dog, Luna. Awe man, she was the best, a true matriarch. A little stubborn and so full of personality. When she was about 10, we got a new Porty and named him Boomer because he was a big clumsy puppy. Luna was a female and taught Boomer to always squat when he pees. It's pretty funny, he still won't lift his leg. Boomer's in NYC with my family and I miss him the most (don't tell my family). With dogs, I love the companionship, and I love that they love to play because I love to play. Dogs are my people, except way cooler.

I met Neal and his dog Boomer at the same time. I could instantly see the bond between them. Neal spent at least 2 hours everyday playing with Boomer in the park, going on hikes and going swimming. Since then Neal has watched my sisters dog, as well as her friends dog while they've been away. He treated every dog the same, with so much love, so much attention, always putting them first. He is truly the epitome of the saying, "A dog is a man's best friend," because his connection and love for dogs is ever present and so real!

The top priority for me is to know how they get along with other dogs and neighbors. Some dogs, if they're not trained properly, can be a huge liability so I'll always want to know if they're friendly and if they bite.
A typical day
Luckily we have a park about a mile away from our house. I like to go there and run and play basketball. There's a gigantic open field for dogs to play on. If the dogs are comfortable off leash, we'll play fetch till one of us gets too tired. If not, we'll go on runs together, hang out, talk about life, you know how it goes.
