Pet care experience
I now have over 12+ years of experience in animal care and 3 years in professional house sitting. I work at SF Animal Medical Center as a Veterinary Assistant and Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital as a Receptionist. I’m Pet First Aid & CPR certified. And I’ve volunteered at Chaparral Equestrian Field in GG Park and as a foster for both Kitty Bungalow and Care Rescue LA. I’m a horse girl - originally from Kentucky. I was fortunate and got to go to a horse boarding school in Ojai, CA. Every morning I’d wake up at 6:30am and muck my girl’s stall. Every afternoon we’d ride. I loved her. Working along her side filled me up whole. And I get the same feeling whenever I find myself around any animal. They are so pure. 📱 Socials I post cute animals I’ve babysat on tiktok. Feel free to learn a bit more about me there @naylakidd. 🐶 My Petosophy Animal guardianship is hard work. I strive to make pet care easier for those who don’t already have the help they need. It takes a village, right?
Reviews
Our dog has separation anxiety and he had a great time with Nayla. She was also very responsible and clean - she even vacuumed and took care of our houseplants while we were away. Highly recommend her, we'd definitely book her again. Thanks Nayla!
Thanks so much for taking her to the beach! Her favorite place
Nayla did such a great job taking care of my cat Mavis! Mavis was happy and relaxed when I got back and I could tell she had a good time.
Nayla did a great job taking care of our little Vinnie for a week. He already misses her.

Housesitting is a wonderful option for those fur babies who experience a lot of anxiety living in a new home environment while you’re away. I pride myself on respecting the home of those I sit for: keeping it clean, bringing in mail, watering plants, and performing light housework / anything else you request. All I ask is for cleanliness on your part and a reasonable sleeping arrangement. For cat sitting, patience is used liberally. I know from experience that it typically takes a couple of days for any cat to warm up to strangers. And once they do, I give them as much love and attention as they can manage lol. For dog sitting, we will go on runs and hit up your local dog park or coffee shops during the day. I typically let the dogs sleep with me in bed unless you prefer otherwise. And you will receive plenty of updates and photos :)
Information Nayla K. would like to know about your pet
As a veterinary assistant, I have administered fluids and injectable medication, such as Apoquel and Cerenia. I can do so for any animal in need. It’s also super important for me to know of any behavioral issues beforehand so that I can design my approach and handling custom for your furry friends.
A typical day
I have a deep love for running and go out for runs at least four times a week to keep grounded. It’s the cornerstone of my self care routine, and something I’ve found dogs and I have in common.

I love including fur friends on my walks and hikes. Favorite spots include Glen Fire Road Trail in Marin, Hawk Hill in Sausalito, Lovers Lane in The presidio, and GG Park of course. I hope to explore more of Presidio Park soon! It’s proven to be a gem thus far.
