I’m 26 and I’m a full time zoo keeper at the Fort Worth Zoo. The Fort Worth zoo expects nothing but the best animal husbandry skills from its keepers. They train use on cleaning, feeding/dietary needs, animal supervision and enrichment. We also provide certain medical treatments. If its a major veterinary issue the vet staff at the zoo takes care of it. I’ve also had a 4 month internship at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium as an assistant zoo keeper, along with working with horses for three years at the Absaroka Guest Ranch in Wyoming as a wrangler. Animals are engrained in my life and I want to bring my passion for animals to Rover. All that I’ve learned from my current and past jobs will be applied to making sure you receive the best for your beloved dog.
