A typical day
I love to hike, but I can find an adventure from a typical trail. If your dog is healthy I would push them with a slight jog. Keeping the heart rate up then slow down. Let them catch their breath. Then repeat. I treat pets as if they’re young children, needing attention, food/water, playtime, and rest time.
