Pet care experience
For as long as I can remember I've loved animals. I grew up with a dog and have owned cats for the last 15 years. I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician for the state of North Carolina. I have worked in the veterinary field as a technician for over 10 years. Before I worked in the field I have volunteered my time with several dog and cat rescues giving each pet lots of attention and love. Due to my experience I'm familiar with giving oral medications, injections, and treatments to animals. I have also attended several veterinary seminars about behavior and have learned the best ways to interact with pets. I'm currently working a full time job but have time a few days a week and on the weekends for drop-ins, walks, and day cation stays at my house.

I do not think I could have chosen a better family to care for my sweet Butters than this one. I initially chose Nathan B. because he is an experienced vet tech and I wanted someone who would be comfortable giving insulin shots to my baby who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I got so much more than peace of mind on the medical issue. When me and my B met the B Family, we knew instantly that he would be well cared for, loved on and supremely comfortable during his stay. He was (I could tell) and now he always will be. I am a returning customer and I highly recommend this sitter for your loved one. Whether I am away for just a weekend or weeks on end, I know my baby is getting the BEST care. I consider myself blessed to know this family and so grateful they treat Butters like he is part of theirs.
We just got our dog back from staying two nigths with Nathan's family. Our dog got really sick last time we board him at a hotel, so It was such a relief to live him at a family home where they took care of him as if he was their own. They even send us pictures while we were away. Booking was a very simple process and price very reasonable. Thank you Nathan and Nikki.
My 14 year old pup was under the weather, I was worried about him but had to move out of my rental and into a storage unit and hotel until I closed on my house. Nathan and Nikki gave me SO much peace of mind that Sampson was being well cared for, loved, and was safe and content! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I will definitely use them again!

We would need to know if your dog is nervous around children. We watch our kids closely with animals and instruct them on how to treat them and approach them so they are very loving and gentle but if your dog just doesn't like kids then maybe we aren't the right fit.
A typical day
We live in a new neighborhood where there's plenty of side walks, trails and grassy areas complete with a small park for you your dog to run around. Our back yard is huge too so there will be plenty of space for your fur baby to run, sniff and play. My kids love dogs and my wife is a long time animal lover/activist so there will be plenty of loving snuggle time as well as outside play including walks and fetch. If your dog is very high energy my wife may take him/her on a run with her to get some exercise.
