ANIMALS RULE!
Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals since I was a girl. It’s easy for me to bond with them and be confident in their presence. Which makes them comfortable with me. I have helped to birth and raise litters of both dogs and cats. I worked at the Treehouse Cat Shelter years ago in Chicago. I have trained my three large dogs on my own as well as other pups when I used to house sit in my college years and any dogs that my friends had. Nothing major. Just basic walking etiquette and some athletic tricks using structures that we encounter in the walk. Chicago has a lot of parks, rocks, statues, benches, and things for dogs to scale. For a few dogs I learned to bike with them as well. I give smaller dogs a shorter range that has more stimulus on the path. Smaller dogs need gentle and careful leadership. For larger and more energetic dogs I tend to find more open and uniform spaces that diminish the chance for distraction and teach the dog to be more in tune with the cues of the Alpha, the Human Owner. To develop the expectation that we have a purpose for our trip and that they are expected to perform. This relaxes the disposition of Canines.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs. I will fully accommodate your pup. I do need to know if your doggie needs a bit of training. I can confidently handle an exuberant dog and get them to be in a relaxed yet responsive state of mind. I can also handle up to three dogs at a time. Especially if one out of three is well trained. I am great with puppies and I have eternal patience for their desire to stop and explore but I will make sure that they relieve themselves at least twice within an hour. Again, paying close attention to the quality of their poops as means of monitoring their health. With puppies I know how frustrating it can be to walk them and then have them come home and go potty in the house. Even while crate training them. I am great at putting on doggie sweaters and booties as well!
A typical day
I like to explore new areas but only after acclimating a pup in one area for a while. If the owner doesn’t mind I can pack dogs up in my car and go to places like parks, campuses, and dog-friendly beaches. I like to use a horse leash for large dogs or powerful dogs who need a little more authoritative guidance. I will train your dog to be an obedient pack member who will ignore problematic stimuli. They will learn to stop, sit and stay. On an hour long walk a dog can relieve themselves several times. I will inspect and collect every gift that your pup leaves for me. Anytime that there is an irregularity or discomfort I will thoroughly report back to you. I love to sing to animals and give them lots of love and rubs. Your dog should be in a great mood by the time you get home. Hopefully they will learn to associate your away time with their own pampered experience that will include being led by an Alpha Female, myself, who will protect and exercise them like they are my own.

I am a REALTOR and walking dogs is an ideal activity for me to engage in while making money and and getting the workout that I absolutely need. I will never hit the snooze button and miss a workout if there’s a puppy waiting for me to take her/him on a walk!!! Basically I need animals as much as they need me.
