I've lived with dogs my entire life. I've dog sat many times for several different families, including my own. I get along with any dog no matter how big or small, mean or nice. Recently I've sat for a dog that was abused which is very challenging. She is terrified of any stranger but after the second time sitting for the family I was able to pet her which the family said had never happened before. So I have dealt with most types of dogs including ones that want to eat me! (I have the scar to prove it!) If you have a special kind of dog that may be a little challenging, I'm your sitter!
