I am an experienced and well-versed caregiver when it comes to both cats and dogs. With a lifelong love for animals, I have dedicated myself to understanding and meeting their unique needs. Growing up, I had the privilege of sharing my home with both cats and dogs, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of their behaviors, preferences, and health requirements. Over the years, I have actively sought opportunities to expand my knowledge and expertise in pet care. I have volunteered at local animal shelters, where I gained experience in handling and nurturing cats and dogs of various breeds and temperaments. This experience taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and providing a safe and loving environment for these furry companions. I currently work for a rescue in animal care. Throughout my time working here I have gained hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I have been an approved handler for a substantial amount of our behaviour modification dogs. This means that I have received training and have experience working with extremely fearful dogs, leash reactive dogs, as well as barrier reactive dogs. I understand the importance of re-direction when working with these types of dogs. I am also well-versed in watching for signs that an animal may be sick, in pain, or not feeling themselves.
