Pet care experience
I am a Registered Veterinary Technician pursuing dog-sitting hobby on a side of a part-time job as a triage technician. My partner, David, is a huge animal lover and together we have a hobby farm near Tiverton, ON. I have been involved in companion animal care since 2013. After pet sitting, I went into veterinary medicine and have been working in both emergency and general practice for the past 6 years. But I could never forget how good it feels to track around nature with a dog by my side. Today I try to balance my work and my hobby. We love to explore new places with an active pack of dogs. We have a vehicle to take pups on trails and parks in the area. We are located on 150 acres of free space to run around. We would typically spend a lot of time outside, but will adjust according to your pup’s needs and the weather. We offer a farm stay instead of a kennel!

We live on an acreage just outside town. Lots of space to run around. The only downside is a very small fenced in backyard with pool in the middle. We try to take dogs to the unfenced area. Pets that are good off leash will have a blast! Open to have long lead attached to my waist while out there, able to work with dogs on leash manners. Dogs can be off leash outside, allowed inside the house main floor.

It is a must for your pup to be okay with small dogs as we have an adult female Italian Greyhound of our own. I will be asking about your pet's energy levels, temperament, habits inside the house, triggers on walks, and anything else you deem is important for me to know.
A typical day
Mostly getting outside as soon as your pup gets here, exploring around and play time to distract them, then we hike out somewhere. Sometimes will drive to a provincial park or for a boardwalk along the water. We also hike through the bush at the back of the property a lot.

Availability
I am working from home, usually after hours. Partner is at home as well helping with dogs. Between two people, we usually always have someone watching the dogs. Myself, I an unavailable usually every other weekend. Open on weekdays morning and afternoon.
