I truly believe the sentiments “We don’t deserve dogs”. I have always had a deep connection with animals and dogs have always been my favorite animal. I have had dogs in my life since I was born. Growing up we had a Great Dane, boxer, lab, German Shepard and a chihuahua. Plus a variety of small rodents like ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters etc. our house was a zoo! As an adult I’ve had 3 of my own dogs that were all Great Pyrenees rescue mixes. This if the first time in my life that I do not have a dog and my life is surely lacking!! My dog Yogi, died of a rare form of cancer where I spent my savings working with CSU vets to help save him. During his last year of life, I gave him medicines multiple times of day, cared for stitches and wounds and made sure he was as happy as he could be until it was his time. All of my dogs were rescues and came with some baggage that I handled uniquely to each dog. I worked with them on separation anxiety, fear aggression, reactivity and walking manners. I was the main walker for my 2 other Great Pyrenees mixes (200+ lbs together) and was able to walk them and handle when they became reactive. I believe every dog deserves a chance and to be shown understanding. I love going on walks with dogs and am an active hiker in my personal life. I hope to be able to provide a fun and safe environment for your dogs. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, big, small, and breeds!
