nurse/animal lover combo
Pet care experience
Full time Nurse, part time animal lover!! I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life and any new animals I meet I treat and love like my very own. I am currently an RN over at St. Vincent’s working 3-4 days a week looking to meet some new animal friends and make some extra cash on the side. My schedule should be pretty flexible; however, please try to contact me ahead of time. Sometimes schedules come out only 2 weeks in advance making it hard to know if I’m available for certain dates. I lived with 2 cats in the past, one of which had diabetes, so I do know how to give insulin shots. I can also give oral medication because of my experience with my sister's dog. I have taken care of really small dogs like chihuahuas up to really big dogs like Great Danes. I consider myself to be a very trustworthy and respectful person and I hope to take care of your special animals soon:)
Reviews
Natalie was absolutely amazing with Bekkah ! She was able to complete our last minute request and drop in on Bekkah while we were at work. She was always on time and Bekkah loved seeing her. I would recommend her to anyone and will keep her in mind for future visits.
Natalie was a lifesaver as my previous walker backed out last minute so I turned to Rover and Natalie for help. I am very grateful she was willing to help out with relative short notice. I was not here when she came to walk Luke but our conversations prior to the visit were very pleasant and my mother, who was here, said Luke LOVED her. My mom said he was jumping all over her, playing with her. She sent me a great picture of him while she was with him. I can't thank her enough for the great job!! Very highly recommend her.
I am beyond happy with the visit Natalie. How she managed to get a nice pic with boots is beyond me. I'm glad I was able to see my buddy boots Balo and had a lil cat nip time. Awesome visit.
Natalie has been pet sitting for my greyhounds, cat and lizards for 5 years - and doing an outstanding job! Whether we need her to help us because we are running late from work or are on a week-long vacation, we trust Natalie to care for our pets. Natalie has a healthy respect and adoration for animals. She is also inherently trustworthy, reliable and conscientious. She is independent, responsible, athletic and intelligent. Our family - including our pets - are fortunate to have Natalie in our lives. -Mike, Trumbull CT

Safety, trust & environment
From my past experiences through Rover, I greet your pet once I get there to make sure they are okay with me taking care of them. After that, I typically take dogs outside to go to the bathroom or for a walk and then they are fed. Cats I typically just play with inside with their toys and then feed them as well.
Information Natalie S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know ahead of time if your animals have any behavioral issues. If they do, I’ll probably ask to meet them beforehand with the owner around to make sure it if safe for me when I come alone.
A typical day
I typically won’t take dogs to a place for a walk unless the owner and I have talked about it in detail before which includes how the dog does in the car, with other people, and with other dogs. My go to is just a neighborhood walk that could range from 0.5-2 miles. It really is the owners preference that we would discuss beforehand. Other than that, if they have a toy bin I would play fetch or tug with them.

Being a nurse, I don’t work the typical 5 days a week. Although my schedule varies I do have some random days off that I could certainly use to take care of your pets!
