I grew up with an English Springer Spaniel, a medium sized dog. We always had a dog growing up and so I spent many a day taking our dog for a walk or playing frisbee in the backyard. I loved animals from an early age. I always wanted a cat, but I was never allowed to get one since my dad did not like cats, so when I was finally settled with a big girl job I got two fur babies of my own (I didn’t want them to be lonely!) I think two of every animal is a good idea so they have a friend, but that also means double trouble for me haha! My cats are indoor outdoor because I feel the outdoors is so therapeutic for animals as it is their natural habitat. I will do whatever is needed to make sure animals under my care are taken care of. When my dog was older he developed diabetes and I learned to give insulin. I’ve had to care for and give my cats medicine like when my one car, Ellie, ate a ribbon and needed emergency surgery, that was a fun bill to pay, but worth it because pets are part of the family. Your animal will receive the same care as my own. Another exciting addition to our family is our dog Goose who showed up at our house a month before I gave birth to my son in January 2023. He was just a puppy scratching at our door in and it was freezing outside, so we had to take him in. After searching far and wide for his owners we realized that he must have been abandoned and we welcomed him into our home. I have to say this was very unexpected and I was skeptical about taking on basically two babies at once! But he has become a part of our family as well. I will be bringing my son along for my most of my visits as I am a stay at home mom.
