I love animals of all kinds, including feisty cats and 200 lb dogs, who think they're puppies and love to sit on laps. I love getting to know each pet! They all have different personalities that make them a unique member of the family. I've cared for animals since I was a child and began my petsitting career as a teen. I've cared for kittens, puppies, elder dogs and cats, turtles, hamsters, and everything in between. My focus when caring for a pet is ensuring they feel safe, loved, and giving them the care they need. Today, petsitting is something I do for fun. My full-time career is in social work. I am passionate about helping people as well as animals. My husband and I have 3 rescue cats who we call our children. Donald, a Siamese mix, who loves getting into trouble; Thumper, a Main-Coon mix, who is laid back dude; and Stewart, a Main-Coon mix who is the definition of "scary cat." Thumper and Stewart are brothers, and if you're wondering, no the shelter did not tell us they were Main-Coon beasts! They have gone on many adventures with us, including moving from Texas to Alaska and Alaska to Washington, DC. They love the snow! The dogs you see in my cover photo are Trixie and Diamond (guess, who is who), they are two of the dogs I grew up with, I couldn't uproot them from their home (my parent's home), but I miss them dearly. If you put your pet in my care, I can assure you that I will treat them with the same love and respect that you expect and provide to them everyday. I will always follow your instructions, including providing them with the exercise they need and/or administering medication. Because I have a full-time job, I am available in the evenings Monday-Friday for walks or drop-in visits and on the weekends I am available anytime, including overnight stays.
