I have rescued one, "fostered" 2, became a surrogate mother to another, and second home for a fourth. Leslie rescued me and is the love of my life. The two dogs that I fostered (Nyla and Max) families should have had. Instead of seeing them locked in a cage all day I took them in, walked, fed, loved, and took them to the vet until I could find loving homes for them. My surrogate son, Jack, is a toy poodle whose mother went back to school and asked me to take care of him, which lasted 8 months. Now, whenever she goes out of town or I just want to see him, she will drop him off...like a summer home. I love dogs and cats.
