Pet care experience
I grew up with a lovely labrador and a couple years ago my family adopted a spunky and sweet 6-year-old mystery mutt and a quirky kitty from shelters. More recently, we got a husky mix puppy and it's been such a pleasure watching her grow up and make her place in the family. My sister and I ran a little dog sitting business when we were younger and a few years ago I spent a couple months doing volunteer work at a sanctuary for rescued farm animals, including dogs and cats. All this being said, I have had lots of experience with dogs and cats of different temperaments and would love to spend the year getting to know new ones in my area.

Natalie is very communicative, easy going and wonderful to coordinate with. Our furbabies clearly loved spending time with Natalie and we felt that our cats and our dog were safe and happy in Natalie's care. And the photos and videos that Natalie shared made us so happy to see our furbabies happy while we were away! :)

It's important to know if the dog should be given treats (and which ones), if they have any behaviours that I should look out for, if they're reactive to anything/anyone, if there's any training they're working on that I should abide by, and what special things the dog likes doing.
A typical day
If I'm walking someone's dog, I ask where they usually go and what they recommend. I usually avoid walking alongside busy roads. I'm always happy to walk to a dog park if there's one in the area.

Availability
I take our dogs out for a walk or two every day and play the games they each enjoy most: tug of war and frisbee with the younger one and "soccer" (her cute version of it at least) with the older one. I'm often the one who feeds them as well. As for my cat, I do all his care: feeding, litter box cleaning and cuddling.
