Pet care experience
I currently work as a lab manager in research, but previously held roles as vet tech. Before going into research, I worked for the UF Small Animal Hospital in Zoological Medicine and Oncology. Before that, I was in small animal private practice working with cats and dogs. I have years of experience as both a pet-sitter and for caring for animals in a range of clinical settings. I have always had my own pets and currently have 3 4 cats, 1 high energy dog, 2 parrots, and too many aquatic critters to list! Whether your pet is in need of medication, a nice long walk in the neighborhood, playtime at the dog park, or feeding, I’m here for you! I am happy working with all species (not just cats and dogs) and looking forward to meeting your furry/feathery/scaly family members!

She has helped care for many types of animals for me and I have always been thoroughly pleased with her attention to detail. Having worked in the vet med scene before, I always feel assured that she will make the best decision at all times. I would feel comfortable pets who need medical attention with Natalie as I know she is knowledgeable in administration of medications and will follow any and all protocol required. I find animals less stressed when their routines are maintained and their care can be provided at home where they feel safest, so I aim to abide by that by providing care within your home and timeframes for meals, walks, meds, play, etc. as best as reasonably possible.

I am comfortable working with animals that may have behavioral quirks or high level medical care. This can be discussed beforehand to determine how we can work together to best fit their needs and safety and minimize stress for all involved.
A typical day
I’m a firm believer in enrichment and that both physical and mental needs should work to be met for our nonhuman family. With a high energy dog and 4 cats with varying needs of my own, I seek creative solutions to critters’ needs enriched on multiple fronts whether it be walks, trick training, games of chase, treat hunts, etc..

Availability
I work full time, 9-5 M-F. Most available for evenings and weekends, but open to visits before the start of my work days if needed.
