I believe dogs need outside time to be happy. They need to run and jump and play. I love, love, love dogs. Their optimistic-happy-tail-wagging and the beautiful silent communication between us. It breaks my heart to see an unhappy dog. I love to give rubs & scratches, long walks, and give them my 100% undivided attention. It helps me just as much as it helps them! I grew up with large dogs always around. But I love them all, big and small. I am a strong advocate for being kind to dogs, they feel everything as deep as we do! I have been a volunteer with Furry Friends Rescue for many years now as a foster home. Furry Friends put me through a rigorous training and application to volunteer process to make sure their rescue dogs are in good hands. They even trusted me with their most difficult, unadoptable dog. Her name was Kara, a 2 year old Lab/German Shepherd Mix that was jumping up on people and knocking them down, plus ripping up furniture and unsafe around children. A true tasmanian devil when I got her, but I spent a lot of time with Kara and she eventually was adopted by a loving family with kids because of what an amazing turn around she did. I have found that even in the most difficult dogs, physical activity & undivided attention not only helps them sleep happily but it reduces a lot of the unwanted behaviors. In Silicon Valley with busy schedules it's not always convenient to give your dog what it needs. That's how I can help! I am dependable and will shower your pet with fun, play, and affection.
