Kind and patient boarder with a dog-loving dog!

Pet care experience

- Dog owner of a 2 year old Cockapoo called Theo who seems to get on with every dog he meets! He is very playful and will certainly tire your dog out. - Home owner - suburbs of Cardiff, 1 enclosed garden, near many great walking spots. - Lives with partner of 10 years who also loves dogs. -Working part-time at home for a charity. - Volunteered as a dog walker for Cardiff Dogs Home and The Cinnamon Trust where I walked a variety of breeds and temperaments I've been providing doggy day care and dog boarding on Rover since April 2022 and have several repeat customers with all positive reviews. I work from home part-time on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I am very flexible in being able to take breaks away from my work to give attention, play in the garden and take dogs out for toilet breaks. On the weekend and evenings, I'm usually relaxing at home or out walking my dog. ALL DOGS MUST BE CRATE-TRAINED AND OWNER MUST SUPPLY THE CRATE. I have a secure back garden so plenty of space for toilet breaks and secured play seasons. We have no children in the house, so we are able to keep the house tidy to reduce the risk of any hazards to dogs. Before each visit, I make sure to clean and tidy the house and close doors to any rooms that the dog is not allowed in to minimise the risk of accidents. I like to take lots of photos and videos of our visitors, for myself and for the owners! If your dog is shy, scared, or has a behavioural issue, please let me know and we can discuss the best way of ensuring your dog has a fun visit.

Natalie is great with our pup. He gets on really well with her cockapoo. Hassle and fuss free. Initial meet and greet reassured us. Her home is comfy and safe. Plenty of updates. She’s been invaluable!

Our 6 month old whippet puppy Echo spent a weekend with Natalie after a successful meet and greet. He had a really great time and was well loved. Natalie is super friendly and clearly well experienced with dogs (and puppies). She sent regular pupdates including photos and videos. She also took all our specific requests and instructions on board including Echo’s cue words and routines. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Natalie and will definitely be taking Echo back next time we need a dog sitter!

Natalie took great care of our Cockapoo, Lily. Lots of updates, photos and videos throughout her stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Natalie again.

Information Natalie B. would like to know about your pet

Medical/ dietery needs - is your dog allergic or intolerant to anything? Have they had their vaccinations? Have they been ill recently and require some extra care? Exercise needs - how often does your dog go for a walk, what level of exercise and type does your dog need Play style - it's great to know what kind of play style your dog enjoys, whether they like toys, balls, playing alone or playing chase with dogs. That way I can make sure your dog is getting the right kind of stimulation. Affection level - like humans, some dogs are more affectionate than others. My general rule is to let the dog come to me for affection, so I can make sure that they are comfortable. Guarding behaviour - if your dog guards resources like toys and food, please let me know so that I can feed the dogs separately and remove toys to avoid conflict.

A typical day

My dog Theo is very playful and wants nothing more than to be chased around the garden by another dog. He really enjoys toys, so we have a variety of toys that he will happily share with other dogs. Playing tug of war with another dog is a favourite of his. I love to play with my dog and the dog we are looking after during my breaks from working, and even sometimes have afternoon naps on the sofa together! I live in a good neighbourhood with many green areas, so plenty of opportunities to go for walks and have a good sniff around, with many other people walking their dogs. When I’m working, the dogs can lounge on the spare bed while I’m on the computer, or play in the garden if I’m working on the decking. Typically, the dogs will have a combination of play time in the garden (weather dependant), walks with myself or with my partner, and lots of play time in the living room. When the dogs are tired, we allow them on the sofa for cuddles and attention.
