Pet care experience
Thanks for your interest! My name is Natalie and I'm a life-long dog lover. Even being bit frequently as a child (I assumed they were as excited to meet me as I was to meet them) didn't deter my desire to be around dogs all of the time. From 2010 to 2014, I was a receptionist at a local Charlotte animal hospital, spending much of that time as a lead and go-to for answering client questions. Not only did I learn a tremendous amount about what to watch out for as warning signs that a pup might need medical attention, but I pet sat regularly for our clients. Once I started my career in software, I had less availability to pet-sit for others as I spent my time between my job and my own bulldog Dooley. Tragically, my beautiful Dooley left me unexpectedly in December of 2018. I'm making myself available to pet-sit again to be able to be enjoy the company of other dogs and hopefully be of assistance to parents who have a difficult time finding the right pet sitter for their high-maintenance pet. I can provide references in the veterinary community on request. **Life Update - August 2021** My boyfriend and his black lab Harley (dob September 2014) now live with me. Harley is a good boy, and he does well with all of the various dogs that he has to share his space with. His attitude towards other dogs is typically “calm disinterest” but will sometimes be playful. When I’m not at home, I will not keep Harley in the same space as any visiting dog. They will be separated by a gate and each have their own ample space and access to water. This is to guarantee safety.
Reviews
Once again, Natalie is the absolute best sitter around. She goes above and beyond to make sure our fur babies are well taken care of every time. It’s such a relief to know our dogs are in good hands while we’re away. Thank you AGAIN, Natalie!
Natalie was such an amazing sitter for our dog Alfie while we traveled out of town. He was thoroughly pampered and we received regular updates which made leaving him so much easier. We will definitely be rebooking Natalie in the future!
Natalie is one of the best I've used on Rover! She was so good with my dog and I could tell how comfortable, relaxed, and happy he was with her. She really cares about your pup like it's her own and I would absolutely use her services again!
Natalie was amazing! She was so sweet to our pup and gave him so much attention and he seemed to have the best time staying with her! She was also super flexible and kept us up to date with pictures and all the fun they were having while we were away! We would highly recommend Natalie for anyone who wants their pups in good care!

Information Natalie A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know what their routine looks like on a day to day basis - your pup is already having to deal with the stress of their human being gone, so I want to stick to their routine as closely as we can to reduce stress. Please also let know about any medical needs that will need to be addressed while they’re in my care. I'm experienced with bulldogs, as I had my English Bulldog for 8 years before she passed. I'm familiar with their wonderful unique personalities and so thoroughly enjoy their company (slober and all!). I'm also experienced with dogs with special medical needs and know first-hand how difficult it is to find someone that you know and can trust to make sure they're properly cared for while you're gone. I prefer to over-communicate than have owners feel like they don't know what is going on, so I will work with you to determine what you would like to know.
A typical day
Happy to go on adventures around the neighborhood or just toss a ball around the house. Different pups need different levels of exercise based on breed and age, so I will take your instructions seriously. ***Please note: *** I do work a 9-5 job during the week, but luckily my office is only 5 minutes from my home, so mid-day walks are absolutely doable (if they’re staying at my home). If you would like someone who can be with your pup full time during the weekday, that is totally understandable, but unfortunately I won’t be good fit.
