I have been caring for animals since I was a little kid! When I was about 8 I used old shoe boxes to build a hotel in my backyard for the neighborhood squirrels (this was unsuccessful). My parents were not thrilled, but respected my desire to care for a pet and rewarded me with a Puggle puppy (Pug and Beagle mix) when I turned 9. I raised, trained, and loved him my entire life, and unfortunately lost him this last year. Within his lifetime, we also adopted a little Spaniel mix who still keeps my family company, I fostered a cat for 1 year, and have pet sat for friends and neighbors. I also volunteered both at a wildlife center in Sacramento, where we rehabilitated and released injured animals, as well as a rescue shelter for dogs, working with as many as 30 at a time. Both of those experiences helped me to learn a lot about not only providing love and care for animals, but how to treat animals with various conditions, diets, and needs and what to do in emergency situations. I am now new to the Bay area and super eager to be around animals again. I am knowledgable about cats and dogs of all sizes, and adore them all the same. I have a spacious unit of a large house with a front and backyard, as well as a super lovely, walkable neighborhood with tons of parks and trails. I am also eager to explore other parts the bay, so I would love to come and walk or stay with your pets!
