Every job I've worked has been in a salon/studio environment, and many times clients would bring their dogs in for me to look after during their appointments! Depending on the length of their visit, I would include a walk for potty time, fresh air, and a little extra exercise if the owner would like. Outside of work, I've cared for family and friends dogs varying in size and shape from 3 year old German Shepards to 12 year old Italian greyhounds/cermets. House sittings, check in's, walks, and frequent playtimes included. Unfortunately am unable to board, despite that being such a dream scenario, due to my partner's cat who is very small and afraid of other animals! Afraid, or perhaps territorial. Her name is Chongo, and she's a spunky little creature. I'm currently the Manager of a tattoo and piercing studio in Venice! I'm typically off Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, but my schedule is very abnormal as I try to offer flexibility and accommodate my front desk worker who's also a student. But with enough notice, I'm able to accept just about any 3 day schedule! My tried and true approach to meeting a pet for the first time is always space and patience, especially with someone that might be a little nervous or over excited upon meeting. A pet should always take the lead during introductions, and I'm happy to adjust my approach and personality to match the owner's lead.
