To start this review I want to preface this with saying that I was getting married this week in Florida and I had originally found a sitter months ago that I spoke to and booked because he mentioned that he was going to be home and it was okay with him to stay with my dogs , that changed the time we arrived and left my dogs with him . After that I had a really bad feeling that my dogs were uncomfortable because they didn’t eat and didn’t sleep so I knew this wasn’t going to work , the day before we met Naomi I had to pick my dogs up from an already stressful situation and had to bring them to her home. I had already stressed to her how severe my dogs needed someone to care for them especially because they were just in this stressful situation. When I spoke to her on the phone and messaged her on rover she said not once but twice that she was home with her kids and her husband. Not once did she ever say to me or my husband that she needed to be gone for 2-3 hours a day or that she wouldn’t be home. Not once did that conversation ever come out. I spoke to her and relayed that before booking I need to make sure she was home to be with them . She again said she would and said it again in her backyard and inside of her home . The first night she had an issue about me calling her and speaking about my dogs - i understand going through rover for messaging but it’s common sense to take a call about pets if you need to on this app. That was my first issue - The next day after saying that they okay she messaged me in the afternoon on a Sunday to tell me that my little dog goose tore a hole in her mesh fenced pool cage when she was inside putting her kid to sleep . I expressed to her multiple times the day we brought our dogs over that if she’s inside they need to come inside too. Why would you leave my dogs outside alone in a meshed fenced in area while you’re inside the house ?! It’s common sense - what if my dogs couldn’t swim ? Now they are In danger and they are unsafe with you !! That’s not okay at all, after this happened I told her she needed to have them inside if she’s inside. After this she messaged me again saying that she’s was worried about them being left alone inside if she needed to leave or to go anywhere for her routine. Then she sent me a message again, saying that she was concerned about her Monday routine and stated that if she needs to leave the house she’s worried about my dog destroying or breaking anything in her home. I relate to her that my dogs do not do that they have never done that and anyone’s house they had they don’t even do that in my house. My little dog does need to be in a cage if she needs to go anywhere and what I explained to her was I wish that she would’ve told me that she had to go somewhere or leave throughout her day because I would’ve had the cage ready for him, when he’s there, my oldest dog, Nash just can be left alone in the house or left alone in a room. He doesn’t need to be a cage. After I had my husband, write her a message on Rover because I could no longer speak to her without getting frustrated or upset. He was able to let her know that we are in a really stressful week with our wedding and we need to know sooner than later, whether or not, she would need to cancel the booking so that we could get our refund and we need to pick up our dogs and figure out something else. Once that was said, she kept saying don’t worry I will keep trying with them and to enjoy our week. my whole point of this review is do not trust what you see on their website about reviews and pictures that they have with other dogs because it may not be true. I thought that with her reviews and the picture she had that she truly cared about dogs but when I saw her and when I left, I realize that it’s more about the money that it is with the dogs, and thankfully my dogs can swim because the pool incident have that has happened if anything were to happen to them, not only would she be sued, but I would profoundly press charges on her. So this is my honest review for you if you think that this is a good person for you and a good fit, then by all means, go ahead and book however, I do not think that this person cares truly about dogs I think that they care more so about the money. I wish that I was able to switch my choice when I met her at her home and heard and saw the truth after we left because then I wouldn’t have booked with her through Rover, again it was a complete show when we were there and we left our dogs with her. It seemed like she was able to do this but then once something small happened that was on her fault for leaving them outside while she was inside. It began to be a bigger issue. The other thing that bothered me with Naomi was I explained to her twice that it was my decision to pull the dogs away from the first sitter, because I knew that they were uncomfortable, and they were stressed out with that sitter, because that sitter didn’t really give them much attention and was also not gonna be home when they said that they were going to be home. I explained that multiple times and she decided to say that maybe that was the reason why the sitter decided to change plans is because my little dog tore a hole in her fence mess area around the pool, and she thought that that was the same case with the sitter at his house, and it wasn’t it was the fact that my dogs were not safe, uncomfortable and stressed out with the people who were watching them that was my decision to move them. And again me bringing them to her I thought that they were in a safe place and that they are going to be OK and well but instead I got stressed out overwhelmed and constantly worried about whether or not my dogs are safe that’s not something that you need happening to you the week of your wedding. She did take care of them and update me throughout the process but before it started and when there was a minor incident the way she relayed information made us extra stressed and worried .

Naomi was great with my dog, Shadow. Always keeping me updated via text along with pictures. She was a wonderful sitter and will use her again and again. Thanks Naomi!
