Pet care experience
Our family dog, Lola, came into our lives almost 9 years ago. We absolutely love her & couldn't imagine lift without her, even though she lives with my parents in Plymouth! I used the Trusted Housesitters platform to care for dogs & cats when we lived in Canada, and have also cared for dogs in Dorset, Devon & Kent. This area of the world has such beautiful walks to offer, and to share that with a furry friend makes it all the better. I also have a car, making it easy to collect your pet to go on our adventures.

Naomi looked after out two boys for an overnight (24hrs). Felt completely happy leaving them with her. She looked after them like they were her own. They were chilled and well behaved & comfortable around her which was great for us to see. I would highly recommend Naomi for your pets. Thank you.
Naomi is the first person we trusted to watch our puppy Kenji and I am so glad. Firstly, she was on-time . so that I could get to work on time as well. She is very knowledgable about dogs which feels reassuring. , So when we described all of Kenji's quirks and problem areas, she was calm and understanding about it. I got a few updates through the day with photos. Kenji seemed more happy than ever when we came home. Thank you Naomi!
Naomi was fantastic, great communication, and a true love of dogs. This was the first time anyone bar family that have looked after Lola, not that she’s fussy, cuddles and food will always win her over! Lola got lots of cuddles, and we couldn’t recommend Naomi and Ben enough, many thanks and Lola is hoping we go away soon!

We live in a second-floor apartment, so don't have immediate access to a garden. However, we live a 5(ish)-minute walk to the beach & parks, so we are not far from open space at all.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs I need to consider. When caring for a diabetic cat in Calgary, Canada, we administered insulin. I also have experience with nervous & socially anxious dogs, and dogs who do not overly like the company of other dogs.
A typical day
We live a short walk away from Highcliffe Beach, which is the perfect place for pups to let off some steam! We also live near wooded areas, so depending on your dog's preference, we have options!

Availability
I currently work for the University of Southampton. I tend to work 4 days from home, and 1 day in the office (I am based at Southampton General Hospital)(my in-person day is mostly every Wednesday but this can be flexible). My hours are also extremely flexible, so I can go out to walk several times per day, and I don't have a specific start/finish time. I love an early morning walk & will happily take a stroll in all weathers. As long as your dog is happy, I'm happy!
