Pet care experience
I grew up with a single mother and spent after school and my summers hanging at the veterinary clinic my mom was a technician at for over 15 years. We also lived on a farm, and I’ve had pets ranging from cats and dogs (every breed from a Maltese, Great Danes, gorgeous mutts and everything in between) to snakes, lizards, chickens and sheep! With the experienced I’ve acquired over my 26 years, I’ve been entrusted with much advice and care to the beloved pets of many friends and family. This includes drop ins and house sitting during travel and vacations and short notice emergencies, trips to the vet, or just dropping in to walk a friends dog as a favor.

Naomi is a pet lover through and through. She doesn’t just care for pets, she falls in love. She has helped us out on very short notice and goes out of her way to spend extra time with our boy Sylvester. I recommend her without hesitation!

My home is unavailable for pet sitting because I have a cat and dog of my own in an apartment. However in other clients homes, guidelines and expectations for food/water/litter boxes/puppy pads/treats/toys would be preferable. If there’s a backyard for outdoor business, or if there’s streets/neighborhoods preferred for walking, let me know! I’m very quiet and respectful of the privacy of your home, and of your pets trust (and yours of course!) and care.

If they are spayed/neutered in case we go to dog parks, how friendly they are with other dogs, cats, strangers, etc. Their general health and threshold for physical activity is definitely important to keep in mind as well
A typical day
I currently reside in the Springfield area and am a huge fan of finding new pet friendly places!! One of my favorite spots to hike with my German Shephard mix is at Mt. Tom in Holyoke! I love fetch, “Find It!” (Hide and seek with toys) and just general cuddles.

Availability
I’m a service industry professional, and work second shift on weekdays and weekends beginning around 4 pm. I’ve been making it a priority to spend more time outside during daylight hours, and what better way than to spend time with animals? Optimal scenarios would include professionals that require care for their animals during their 9-5 workdays, whether it’s drop ins for playtime/to be let outside, or for walks during the day, so I can make it to work for the late afternoon/early evening.
