I have had dogs all my life so the 35 years+ is just an approximation. I have helped others with their dogs, in terms of training and caring for them, both at my home and at theirs. I have had very, small dogs, as well as large dogs and I understand their behaviors and ways of communication. I have both a great love and respect for all animals, and dogs, in particular. I currently own 3 dogs: a chihuahua mix; a heeler mix and a purebred collie.
