I have an open floor plan so the dogs are always in my view. Windows out to the large garden along with comfortable couches provide entertainment. The yard is gated and I am always outside with them. I am close to Magnuson off leash and on leash parks for long walks. My house is very "green"and I only use non toxic cleaning products as many dogs have allergies. I AM HOME AND WITH THE DOGS 80% OF THE DAY. I try to create a fun playful environment for the dogs to all get along. There are no cats or children around but lots of squirrels outside for entertainment. I believe in frequent daily outings - given your recommendations. I am particularly fond of older dogs i.e. over 5. I have a medical background so I am mindful of their health and wellness and I am diligent about communicating with you about you buddy's stay. MY DOG SCOOBY IS A VERY MELLOW DOG WHO THRIVES AMIDST OTHER DOGS. He brings peace to the surroundings. Why I love dog sitting I grew up in New York City in an apartment and dreamed of having a dog. As a teenager I would pet sit at classmates homes -before it became popular. I got my fist buddy from the Chicago animal shelter when I was29. Fred (the German Shorthair pointer in the photo) was a wonder dog. We explored all the forest preserves together. Since Fred I've never been without a dog. They enrich my life. About my yard Besides animals I love horticulture. My yard has many dog hardy native plants. My yard is fenced and is L shaped with access from my kitchen and a view from the dining room. There is a 35 foot + length for throwing balls and around the corner another 20+ feet. Lots of places to sniff and many birds that come to the water feature. My experience administering medication Yes I am. Years of caring for "Old Dog Haven " rescue dogs and cats have given me lots of practice in observing medical problems and taking action and following vet advice with delivering meds and infusing with fluids if needed and sometimes injections.
